We have a number of exciting live acts and DJs lined up throughout the day including Duke of York (DJ), Freak Power (live acid jazz) and Soul City (DJ Collective), with more acts to be announced soon. Expect a day and night of soul, jazz and funk infused music.

The Quadrophenia Experience

On the 26th of August 2017 Brighton’s Big Screen will transport you back to the 1960s…

We very excited to announce that we are hosting a screening of Quadrophenia on Brighton Beach! This is the iconic Brighton film about the famous rivalry in the 1960s between Mods and Rockers, which culminated in a series of battles in Brighton on the August Bank Holiday weekend. This screening will be followed by a Q & A with some stars from the film, to be revealed at a later date.

After which we have booked Who’s Next, who are widely regarded to be the best The Who tribute band. They have an accompanying video show which projects famous footage of 1960s bands, as well as classic images of mods and rockers. The video show and the film will be all be shown on our 40 square metre LED screen on Brighton Beach.

DJ Drew Stanstall, ex member of The Specials, will also play a DJ set, spinning the best in mod, ska, soul, R&B and 2Tone.
